The antidote to stress it's manifestations is relaxation. To fall asleep is to rest much. Relaxation is a state in which not often obtained effort, and the brain is quiet. Dr. Herbert Benson HEALTH., who coined the concept "The Relaxation Response" detects the physiological and mental responses that occurs when one consciously relaxes by saying that relaxation is the physiological state seen as a slower heart level of, metabolism, rate of yoga breathing, lowered blood pressure, where as slower brain wave forms and sizes.

In the biological response of stress; Flight or Fight you will see an increase in cortisol statistics, otherwise known as impetus hormone. With high levels of cortisol you will get a reduction of muscle recovery and an increase of fat production.
