Sometimes, the pause in the future, between intention and event, is the best a person to Yoga practice. This gives you time to rationally focus on through intention. Of course, if this sounds like an emergency, there might be a no gap in big day, and your action will probably be reaction. Therefore, our reactions will not be rational, or positive, however with regular Yoga practice, intended to change.
Earlier, I mentioned that you "eat, sleep, and drink" great energy. However, with the practice of meditation, and/ or Yoga breathing, you can always take advantage of a state of tranquility (Santosha). There are many reasons for this, but the primary among them is non-attachment to the end result of your plans.
